Day 2 - Harbour city & Victoria Peak

Morning, we went to nearby "Cafe by the Corals" for breakfast. Mum ordered a fried noodle with ham and dad ordered macaroni soup with ham + coffee (oh! mummy missed the coffee in S'pore!). Daddy fed me a little but I was more interested in playing with it ;)

After that, we proceed to have a stroll walk by the harbour since it is very near to our hotel stay. It was so breezy in the morning! Mum fed me tuna bun bit by bit as afraid I will get hungry later.

note : you will see more photos of me pointing here & there. Why? Because they wanted to distract me to look at the camera's direction and will ask "where is daddy or mummy?"

We went back hotel for our bath and get ready for our today's schedule to ....Victoria Peak! We passed by Hong Kong Park and took some photos with the waterfalls on the background.

Took a tram up to the peak.

They had lunch at the open-space chinese restaurant onced reached the peak. Mum ordered fried rice with intention to share with me but as she expected, I was not interested at all! Kept saying "don't want, don't want". Strange, whenever overseas (my 2nd time), didn't eat much at all, probably not used to the environment???

There is a mock-up Disneyland to attract more tourist to visit and I was fascinated on Minnie & Mickey Mouse. I recognised them as sis Kana got a huge minnie mouse soft toy. I kept touching it and refused to go! A hint to them that I am interested to go to Disneyland for my next holiday, eh?

Took a walk at the open gallery for over-viewing of Hong Kong in the day.

Outside the shopping centre, I saw a huge dog and kept looking, smiling and eventually touched it. Many tourists flocked to see this huge dog too!

As it is still early to go in to the Sky Terrace, they decided to have a walk along the Lugard Road. This road famous for joggers to walk round the peak and it is also for the super-rich family to stay in a bungalow house up in the peak. There is a mini-park too for resting. We walked for almost 1 1/2 hours for a round-trip. I fell down and got a mini-bruises on my knee when walk too fast and they decided to let me sit on the stroller throughout the journey :(

@the mini-park - I always give them surprise of my motor-skills ability. See I can do push up on my own and stand on the pole. Mummy got a stint feeling that I am inclined to have the athletics skills set since born as I always love to bent my head down to look and feel excited. Time will tell if mum's 6th sense accurate?

At the sky terrace, it was crowed and I was excited to walk around with the strong wind blowing.
Mummy likes these pictures of me showing happiness in my face.

As I kept walking up and down the steps, I fell again. Got another "blue black" near my left eye :(

Day & night view of Hong Kong

No tripod allowed in the sky terrace hence mummy had to sturdily snap the pictures quickly and wasn't as sharp as having tripod.
We went back to the hotel at about 9-10pm and I was already asleep while daddy "ergo" me on the journey back. I was so..oooo exhausted that I did not move much on the cot bed throughout the night! So is mum & dad! What a day!!!

HKG trip - day 1 (9-13 May)

Our flight to HKG is at 11am (ETA : 2:45pm) on SQ862 . We left house at about 8:15am. At the check-in counter, the staff told us the flight was not full (about 70-80%) occupied, hence they blocked off 1 seat for me rather than bassinet. Hooray! I've got a seat on my own....hee! hee! Daddy also ordered post-weaning meal for me (mashed potato, omelette and beef). I didn't eat much and vomitted out a little as I was tired and time for my nap. Oh! Did u see a little toy I was holding? I named her "oh shannon" though I already know my name is Shannon. Why? It's because when the air-stewardess gave the toy to mummy and asked her what is my name? Mummy said "oh, is Shannon" and I mistook the soft toy called "oh shannon".

1st time seeing a real airplane, excited!

eating organix carrot stick mummy bought at cold storage.

post-weaning meal and daddy fed me.

Took express train from airport to Kowloon station and took a cab to our hotel stay - YMCA Salisbury (5 days 4 nights cost HK$3,300). They have previously attempted to book this hotel but was always full and surprised it was available and the price was ok. Daddy said it tribute to bad economy?

playing with my "oh shannon" at the train & hotel too!

1st thing on their mind once check-in hotel was to buy pampers and formula milk as they just brought enough for the day and wanted to pack light. They went to Harbour City shopping centre and looked for a supermarket called "city super". The shopping centre was sooo...ooo confused as it is linked within others shopping centre and mummy end up to ask the security the exact location. It wasted much time searching for my items and in the end, found they do not carry the milk brand. Hence, they went to "Wellcome" mini-mart to buy. And it turns out that Watsons do sell it at nearby our hotel-stay. It was 7pm after we bought the stuff and went to nearby McDonald for their dinner.

The hotel staff brought in cot bed (at no charge) for me to sleep but mummy said might be small for me and I end up sleeping in between them on the queen size bed. Dad complained he did not sleep well as I kept turning to his side :(

careful, ok, alright

While I was playing at Ikea children's corner, a girl has fallen down and I said "careful!". This word has been repeated by my parents many times whenever I am near a step or on danger zone. Mummy gave a cheeky smile as I now know how to relate it.

Daddy told mummy I "DIY" self-comfort myself too as past few days, there were very loud thunders in the middle of the night and I woke up and pat myself on the chest and said "it's ok, alright!". This is because daddy kept repeating these words whenever I woke up at night, weaning or crying.

weight

I must be very tired for yesterday play and I woke up at 10:10am! We went to sis kana's house and mummy bought packet of "char siew rice" for her lunch there and chit-chat with aunt eileen before going back at almost 2pm for my bath and late lunch.

Aunt eileen got a digital weighing machine and mummy suspected my weight has increased. And true enough, I now weighs at 11.6kg (previously 11.2kg). Mummy complained to daddy that I am getting heavier and can't carry me for long as I want to be carried often now.
