magic word - please!

Instead of saying "carry" previously, I now say "please carry me" with my arms open. This way mum & dad can't refuse as I said it with the magic word - please! "hee! hee!

I can respond with thank you (more like thank ku) and welcome.

Previously will say "nice" and now will add-in more meaning in it eg. nice porridge, nice coffee, nice yoghurt, nice shoes, nice juice.

new! new items!

Daddy bought me not 1 pair but 2 pairs of new shoes for me! Yeah! 1 pair from Nike - new model called "sensory motion system". "chim!" mummy said but she likes it the moment I put on for trying and the cushion support is very good. The other pair is Crocs shoes model : girl mary jane shoe, no more mickey jane shoes as this model is more expensive.

Also daddy bought me a bookshelf during weekend. I've got the same range of wardrobe, chest drawer, table, chair and even table lamp from IKEA - Mammut series. Daddy pondering whether should buy the same model for the bed when I outgrown my cot bed? Mum put the bookshelf in the living room instead of my room to supervise me as afraid I will tear the books! oooohhh! I like to take the books to read now (or rather flip the pages on some books to refresh my memory). That's why they think it is time I should have my own "little library" corner.

find daddy, miss daddy

Daddy went back to work today after having MC for more than a week. I woke up didn't see daddy and kept asking mum where is daddy?

Me : where daddy?
Mum : daddy went to work
Me : find daddy, back --- meaning when will daddy be back
Mum : daddy will be back about 7 o'clock
Me : 7 o'clock
Mum : You miss daddy?
Me : miss daddy, 你 在 那 里?

Mum smsed daddy. He wants mum to tell me that he got to work to feed me and mum did relay the message to me.

Me : feed me, work.

Mummy wondered if I understand ?

sentence words

Mummy teach me to speak in sentence words.

@Ikea - said "I want to eat grapes please, mummy" but I spoke each word in a loud voice ....to protest why must said it in long sentence? Can't I just say "grapes" only? The second video shown it all as I refused to say more than once just like reading a book in repetitive words.
Daddy said I am plain lazy :((. Mum also wants me to say it in mandarin.

interesting action / just like mummy

While daddy was looking for a new pair of jeans at Anchorpoint, I danced to the beat when the music was on (of course, not the children's song but adult pop song!). When the music stopped, I stopped too. The sales staff saw me and asked me to dance & I gamely danced again! I love dancing just like mummy.

Now I like this phrase "just like mummy" as mum borrowed a book from library titled "just like mummy". I will take mummy's lipstick from the cabinet and will make the action of applying it on my lip and said "just like mummy".

interesting dialogue

scenario 1 : at ikea lying on sofa bed and a passer-by said hello to her friend and I said "hello" back. Before going back home for my dinner, I said bye-bye to : bed, pillow, couch.

scenario 2 : outside our house, saw our indian neighbour and said "hello, 阿 姨”and just when mum wanted to close the door, I said "see you!" and they burst into laughter.

I'm 23rd mth old!

Woah! Times flies and I will turn 2 in a month's time. As usual, mummy will try to post pictures of me on every 19th of the month if possible. I kept smiling away happily knowing mummy was taking picture of me as I said "take picture". Mummy said I've turned into a little sweetie pie. "hee! hee!"

@suntec city - looking for my sticker (sticker given by the school after the class ended for marking attendance and mummy stick it on my hand and I lost it) and said "你 在 哪 里”?My current favourite words now. Making funny sound in the video as I will imitate it whenever I heard those squirky shoes sound worn by kids.

Motor-skills and other skill-sets I've acquired so far :

1) Getting more talkative - luckily have not get to the stage of asking "why? why?". Else mummy will get headache.

2) Likes to climb up here and there. I am able to sit well on my own at outside hawker centre but likes to stand/ jump on the chair or stool or climb up on the table.

3) Likes to imitate fake cry from mummy. When mummy ask me to hug her and I said "don't want" and mummy pretend to cry and cover her face with the fake cry sound. Now I will act on her behalf and pretend to cry too. Mummy faintz...

4) Trying to speak more mandarin now though I am better with english. Can pick-up fast on english to chinese translation.

5) Show more interest in singing songs like incy wincy spider, head & shoulder knees & toes.

6) Can read simple books but mummy discovered I do not like to repeat words that I know if more pages in repetitive words which are common on books for my age. Eg. lately mummy bought few 2nd hand books on Ladybird - peter & jane key words reading scheme. There are many pages repeated on peter, jane, dog, shop, toys and I will only read once or twice after that shows disinterest until mummy read some new words and I start to look at it. Luckily, mum didn't buy many of this series books as heard this is good for beginners to read. This applies to other books as well. Mummy wondered if GD teaching method is correct as he said do not show more than number of times the same word? Which explain why I like "Goodnight moon 123" counting book and not the more popular "Goodnight moon" book as every page do not really repeat the same word except the "goodnight" word on 2 -3 pages.

7) I have not learn to point word on my own yet but mummy wondered if it is necessary to point word by word? Daddy said this is to show that I know the word if I point and said it.
