imagination

I'm pretty much involved pretend-play with imagination. I can come up with hilarious conversation with toys like "xxx see doctor and eat medicine" or "xxx is drinking milk while bathing and using a plastic cup filled with bath foam as milk!" to the extent like pretend bathing the toys and said "xxxx lift up your head and shower" and tilt the toy's head and wash its "hair".

Mum noticed I'm not so shy with strangers anymore and willingly to speak up when asked.
"gong xi fa cai!" to the boy.

twist (2)

I'm good at it. Noticed my both hands bring it forward and tried to bend down? Mum knew I'm trying to do a somersault as I've watched a video clip on karate doing a somersault style. Towards the end of video clip....mum had a good laugh at my "shameless" action :))

2.5 yrs old / molar

I'm 2.5 years old!
Teeth development
My right bottom molar is out but mum aren't sure whether other molars are out too as I refused to let them see my teeth. No wonder I have been making noise at night lately. Molar should be the final set of milk teeth and dad said it is time as by 30th month, molars should be out :)

Educational games
My recent craze are jigsaw puzzles & “小天才”智慧版。 Mum is amused when dad asked her which disc is 小天才? (thinking it is a video disc!) (ha! ha!) as I asked for it while mum was washing her face.

Chinese
And mum noticed I've gained more confident in reading chinese books which is a good start as she wants me to master chinese/mandarin speaking now as this subject is hard to teach if did not start early. Mum said learning chinese is so "chim" (difficult) ....so many steps to learn (strokes, han yu pin yin). Luckily here teaches simplied chinese. As dad is not proficient in chinese hence have to rely on mum to teach me :). But mum is proud of me that I knew many many chinese words (countless - verbally & recognition) but in conversational wise, I still need to buck up.

Others
Lastly, mum is super happy that govt finally allowed children to change race (dual identification!) Mum just want me to be what I am and not followed traditional method (to follow father's race) as here is a multi-racial country. Mum is not against the race stated but not wanted me to be embarassed when being asked when I grown up. This is too confuse for me. Notice my surname? My chinese name 李 家 玲 came from combination of my surname which dad came up this idea (or my english surname are a combination of my parents'.....confuse ah???). Also mum felt there is a meaning of my chinese name : 家 玲 ---- 玲 sound as in 0 (zero) or circle ...circling the home ( 家) which means family united always, forever ! Cool explanation from mum, right??

Mummy, I love you

This morning, I walked into mum's room and said to her "mummy, I love you!". "oh....so sweet" mum said and quickly hugged me with a melted heart :)

I knew when mummy will be angry with me as I can decipher her tone. I will make an innocent look and said to her "mummy happy too?". There is a story on this phase. I will say "我很開心" - I'm happy while jumping on the bed, running or whenever I am happy. Mum will add-on and said "Shannon happy, mummy happy too!". Mum told dad I'm too scheming to twist this phrase whenever mum is angry with me and she had to tone it down reluctantly & said "mummy happy" and can't bear to get angry with me anymore:). This is my trick....hee!

Smaland Ikea

Yeah! Finally I was allowed to enter into the Smaland @Ikea! They only allow kids above 90cm in height. At first, mum thought I will play for a short while and will start looking for her as parents are not allowed to go inside. She was surprised to see I played happily alone. In the begining, I was curious, carefully walk up the stairs & later walked up to watch Tom & Jerry cartoon show :). I was having fun playing at the ball-pit where I dare myself to climb up on my own and slide it down.

@Smaland Ikea from 11:35am - 12:35pm
ventured around curiously

started to get anxious and look for mum. Mum can't hear me but dictate from my lip sync, I said "mummy, I want to play" with a want-to cry look.

Mum asked the staff to look after me as she can't go in and it was my 1st time there as afraid I will fall. "mummy, inside" I said (again mum dictate from my lip synch)"

climbed up the steep slide on my own inside the ball-pit.
going up to watch cartoon show :)
