Day 6 - Back to S'pore

Mum was surprised when she had her 1st day buffet at the hotel. It is just near the lobby entrance. It serves chinese style buffet.

Our flight back to S'pore - ETD : 1410 hrs, ETA : 1845 hrs on SQ877.
We check-out at 10:45am and took MRT to Taipei Bus Station. Not again! The counter-staff said this is not the place to the airport, have to go to blah, blah, blah......(mum can't make out what the staff said but when heard have to go via overheadbridge....errrrrr.....no thanks and decided to hail a cab instead as we've got heavy luggage + me to carry! Luckily, we got a cab as I vomitted soon as wasn't feeling well (running nose & cough). Last night, they didn't sleep well as I kept crying almost every hours :(

I've got a habit now to close my eyes whenever I refuse to do what they say.

Close eyes = I can't see you, you can't see me :)

I kept holding the banana which I didn't eat much and they asked it back. I closed my eyes and refused to let go the banana and pretend-play to feed snowy.

Once reached home, rushed to pat rascal as I missed him so was mummy :)

Day 5 - Jiu fen (九 份) & Shilin night mkt

We took the train north to Ruifang Station and transferred to take Keelung Transit bus 825 (approx. 15 mins. bus ride) opposite the train station to Jiufen (九 份).

Jiu Fen (九 份) - The Historic Commercial District consists of a series of stores and restaurants running along Jishan and Shuchi Streets, which are built into the side of the coastal hills and considered a must-see site for visitors. The area is known for its collection of historic businesses, eateries, and teahouses, allowing visitors to relive the past while sampling local specialties and purchasing handicrafts and other knick-knacks.

Dad said they should have their lunch at this restaurant since I was sleeping. But once they sat in it, I woke up probably knowing food is coming! To mummy's surprise, this simple restaurant is highly recommended by many TV media & newspaper. And surprisingly, the "plain-looking" noodle tastes yummy! I ate almost all of it :)

This underpass to the right goes to Old Street and left to Jiu Fen. It pictures many historic photos before & after.

Interesting .... this man scrap from a block of nuts into fine pieces and put it into a "popiah" type of skin.

Dad had to "ergo" me as it is a narrow street.

Today will be the last night at Taipei as we had to fly back to S'pore tomorrow. After rested at the hotel for a short while, we went to Shilin Night Market which is a must-see for tourists :)
Dad just "ergo" me -- another must-have for them to restrain me since I am quite active now and I am getting heavier :0(

Day 4 - Yeliu Geopark ( 野 柳)

Our journey today were ROCKY!! to Yeliu Geopark ( 野 柳). First we had a hard time getting to the right bus that goes directly to the destination. Dad is the "tour leader" for this holiday and he studied that Taipei Bus Station (Y1 stop) would take us there but when he asked the info. counter, they told us that we have to go to Taipei Bus Terminal (Y22) where we had to go under a long underpass (Taipei City Mall). Both dad & mum wondered what is the difference between Bus Station & Bus Terminal??? Anyway, we boarded a cozy bus that took us an hour to reach.

Dad has to hold me tight as I like to walk around on my own. He smacked me when I tried to climb up and I ran to mummy's rescue :))

can you guess the below 1st picture....where is the "queen's head"?? --- many tourists flocked to take pictures of this queen's head (女 王 头 ) rock formation. Hmmmm....interesting.

At the exit door, there is a row of stores selling tidbits/snacks/drinks mainly cuttlefish. All sorts of cuttlefish....spicy, chewy, crispy. I took my noon nap and they had their late lunch peacefully and ordered Taiwan beer and seafood dishes at a nearby seafood restaurant. After their dinner, we took a bus back and I had my dinner at their local Dante coffee (similar to Starbucks) but with more choices near to our hotel stay. I had unagi rice.
