new playground @marina sq.

After my class, we went to marina square and were surprised to see a new playground outside kiddy palace. I was having fun! Mum noticed I am begining to like to climb on ladder.
They said I "rock" myself so vigorously that afraid I will fall down. Even grandpa was shocked I "rock" like crazy at his house on a rattan rocking horse. I want my own control rather than the machine-type. Also save $$$! hee! hee!

trying to rock-climbing but no success.

climb-up the slide on my own and mum said i am smart to backwards myself up and holding on both sides.

woman

Whenever I saw kids like my age, I like to address them -- girl or boy. A lady was browsing through the mini-kitchen @Ikea, I walked up and look at her and said "girl!". Ha! ha! Mum corrected me and said "she's a woman" and i replied "woman". The woman laughed and so was mum! I knew the word "woman" from the "Oh no!" book.

Evening, when saw our neighbour's helper opening the door and I took a glance looked and said "girl" but later corrected myself and said "woman!" They burst into laughter.

hyper-active

I am getting more active now....refused to go home till 1pm+ and mummy had to put me into the stroller. I was having fun at the bed....jumping, crossing-over another bed. Daddy saw the video and said "this girl crazy liao!". Mum more open as felt kids at my age are more active now. Wooahhh! I've got mummy's support. Its part of a motor-skill, right? Ikea policy is : Learn through play including climbing up & down! my excuse...hee! hee!

Today, tried on new method to make daddy carry me....I said "pain pain" and bent my waist. Aiya! Daddy don't believe me still.....hmmmm...will try harder again ;)

chatty & 这 是 什 么 颜 色

@Ikea this morning, mummy test me colours on chinese and asked 这 是 什 么 颜 色 的 老 鼠 (what color is the toy mouse?") whilst she held a black mouse. I answered "黑色”。 And she picked another colour of the toy mouse and I said it with more expression “白 色 老 鼠”- white mouse. Mummy picked a grey mouse and I said it correctly "恢色老鼠”。 Mummy noticed my chinese pronunciation is getting better though still have some "ang moh" style slang.

During lunch, mummy showed me video and noticed I like to said it with more express words eg. 2 dogs, dogs running, dog dancing, cat playing, cat sleeping, mouse eating, 2 horses, bird flying, duck swimming, etc, etc.

I used my magic word "please" again. This time I asked mummy "please get down" while she laid on the bed and I pulled mummy's hand.

At anchorpoint this evening, I asked mummy "please carry me, see prata". Ha! I like to watch the "roti prata" man making prata and "copy" his action. During bathing. I will take my face towel, press hard and flip, flip. Initially, mummy don't understand why I pressed the towel until I said "flip". Also, I like to watch the dryer spinning @the laundry shop and I spin my head instead and happily laughing away. I wanted daddy to carry me but he don't buy my magic word "please" and I pretend to fall down as I said "fall down" but daddy still don't buy it ;(. Hmmm..... I will think of a new way to act more pitiful next time.

Yesterday, I told mummy "kana 妹 妹 where? no more play...no more 阿 姨”refering to aunt eileen. I met her at Anchorpoint with her daddy as aunt eileen still on confinement. Happy to see her and kept saying "kana 妹 妹" while daddy carried me and I shook hand with her. It was a short hello & bye as her dad bought back KFC to eat at home.

share & speed-read (2)

Mummy is glad I am able to understand the meaning of "share". This morning at Ikea, I was playing with the abacus and a little girl came towards me, I said "share share" and moved the abacus towards the girl. And also, I put some toys on the table and a boy took it and I said "share share". Whenever I was being pushed softly by other kids to take the toys I am holding at Ikea, mummy will try to explain to me that I have to share things with other sis/bro. On the other hand, mummy worry I might get bully in future if I go to school.

More words speaking sentence

1) Dad told mum yesterday that I am trying to speak more words sentence like "is a leaf" when I picked up a leaf at the playground.

2) This morning, when I woke up, I said "daddy, drink milk, get down bed" but I was surprised to see mummy at my room instead as daddy went to work already and gave a "where" sign.

3) When I woke up for my noon nap at 4pm+, saw my room door closed and said "open the door, find daddy, back at 7 o'clock" as I remembered mum told me that daddy will be back about 7pm+.

Confirmation on speed-reading

scenario 1 - I took out 2 chinese books "可爱的小猫咪”& "可爱的小白兔 " and asked mummy to read to me and said "fast fast". Mummy read without pointing words with fast past and she observed my eyes were moving along the words to the next page. Mummy was astonished at how fast I can absorb and never underestimate our in-born geniuses.

scenario 2 - I saw a big calendar of 三 字 经 (picture shown) beside my chest drawer and asked mummy again "fast fast" and mummy quickly recite it. Mummy test me where is the word "杨”and saw my eyes searching for the word and pointed correctly. "well done!" mummy said.

scenario 3) Yesterday, I took out one of my favourite book "Oh no!" and mummy read again with fast paced and this time, she asked me to read "fast fast". I did, but not in full correct sentences with some words skipped. This shown I am trying to speed read now.

Song

At cold storage this evening, mummy saw me trying to sing the "拳头" as I clenched my fists and opened, touch my eye, nose, ear, mouth while singing though mummy can't hear as she was queuing to pay for the food but can make out the signage. I saw mummy and called out "mummy, how are you?" mummy faintz....

小 天 才 game & speed-read

Just before I went to sleep at about 9pm+, mummy took out the "小 天 才" game for me to play. Mummy bought this game set quite some time ago and think it is time for me to understand how it play. This set suppose to aid us (toddlers) on all the "q"! - JQ, LQ, IQ, EQ, CQ - whatever Q ah! ha! ha! Anyway, mummy real purpose is to let me play hours to pass time! But of course mummy think this is a good education game to play. As mummy has shown me past few days on how to play, mummy set it up and put the clear plastic on the answer sheet and asked me to match the same picture. To mummy's surprise, I begining to understand how it works and placed it on my own on the same picture with only 2 mismatch out of 12 whilst mummy hand me over the number cubes 1 by 1. The attached picture shown was my 1st game page I've played. Afterwhich, I placed all the number cubes on the green plate as it has numbers 1 - 12 imprinted faintly and thought I supposed to match it accordingly.

Speed-read

I proceed to my "little libray" corner and took out the "童谣”mini-book and said it with a slang. Mummy read it to me and point the wordings. I told mummy "fast fast" meaning wants mummy to read fast to me! As mentioned before, I am an impatient girl ;).

As I've not learnt to point words (or rather lazy) but mummy would prefers me not to and read the word itself but daddy said pointing words to show I knew the words. Somehow, Shichida method on speed-reading is to NOT TO POINT WORDS! Though mummy is not into SM but more on GD method. Time will tell.

Results on setting my "little library" corner

"It works!" mummy said with delightful smile :). Eversince I've my own library, I keep going to take books to "read" and mummy will refresh with books I've not seen as not to get me bored with the same book. On little testing on reading on my own w/o pointing the words, mummy took a chinese book, turn to a page and asked me to read and I did! Of course, I said it very softly as mummy observed if I am not confident with the word I knew, I will say it very softly but mummy can make out the words I read.
