"walk", more maths dots, english flash cards

I can "walk" steadily now with my activity walker. I can "walk" longer than before while mummy holds my hand.

Mum n dad said no hurry to be able to walk on my own as i belongs to the "heavy" side lor! My weight is 10.1 kg and height approx. 74 -75 cm which makes up to 90 percentile growth.

I can say "car" while watching "Your baby can read" video. Mummy heard it but sound like "kar". Later, while watching my favourite brainy baby video, i say "star". More like "sar" without the "t". I can regcongise more words now like "wave your arm", "arms up", "touch my hair", "bellybutton"' "clap". Some words i can recognise when i was about 11 months old. Mummy is happy i can learn more new words as these educational video works!
"more, more input, please, mummy!"

Mummy these 2 days very "ON" ah! Revised with me the maths dots nos. 21 - 54 and asked me to pick up the correct nos. I choose correctly 11 out of 17 nos. "getting tougher!".
Also mummy revised me the english flash cards that has stopped for a while. Did manage to pick up words on "hand, cat, sneezing, rascal, birds, shannon (yes, my name! of course), mummy, rabbit, toes (this time i picked correctly), tiger". As for the rest, mummy notice me not interested anymore hence no more testing as according to GD - 'stop before your baby wants to stop'.

"Mum, u got it right! I wanna play with my walker n rascal! Off i go....whosh!"

Maths dots recognition or test?!!

Late afternoon at 5:20pm, mummy again wants to test me. This time - Maths dots! Mummy hasnt shown me the "maths dots" for quite a while. Has stopped to numbers 54 with addition n substraction formula. Mummy felt should stop for a while since i am busy learning to crawl, cruise around at that time. Mummy revised me with nos. 1 - 10 first and test me 2 sets of nos. to choose, hence, there are 5 nos. for me to pick. Out of 5, i choose correctly 4. Not bad lah since mummy stopped for a while. "Me blame on mummy lor! ha! ha!".

Mummy said it is possible that i am not concentrating as TV is on for my favourite video "Brain Baby" series. According to Glenn Doman, should show it to baby on a quite, non-disruptive area. Mummy anxious to know ma!

Mummy notice i am not so keen on Maths dots as it is understandable. Review on forum said most babies dont like Maths dot hence some parents gave up on it. It is therefore, mummy brought it a second-hand set for only $100.
I was still crawling, standing on the main door looking outstide curiously, playing with the shoe cabinet and when there is a chance, Mummy revised me on Nos. 11 - 20. I choose correctly all 5 nos. with in-between stop for a while as i continued to play.

Mummy noted i am not interested anymore, hence let me continue to watch my favourite video. These photos taken today while i m concentrating on the "Brainy Baby - Right Brain" video. I love to watch! n likes to stand on the TV console to watch closely. Mummy afraid i will get shortsightness in future, hence, wants me to sit on my very own chair without strapping me as i want my freedom now!


At about 7:2opm, just before going out for dinner, Mummy flashed me again on English. Wants me to pick up words " daddy, toes, rabbit". I managed to pick up "daddy, rabbit" but not "toes". "Ooops!! Mummy said it's ok probably i am tired.

Flash cards recognition

I've flu (running nose) since my 1st yr birthday on 19/7/08. Now having cough. Morning wake up 8:10am and drank only 130ml. Throw up quite a bit when i cough. Mummy have to clean up the mess for me (sorry, mum!). As i m not feeling well, mummy just brought me to IKEA to play for a short while. Mummy hasn't flashed me using the cards for quite some times as usually shown it to me on video. Mummy suddenly test me if i know some words.
I can pick up words likes "eyes, ears, nose, fish" using the flash cards. I either point or take the correct word card. Initially mummy thought i pick up the word just by luck, but can't be 4 times i guess correctly, right? "mummy.... babies are smart, ok?" hee! hee!
Funny is that, whenever the video word "brush" shown up, i will touch mummy's hair while feeding me. Mummy said i can associate brush with hair, using my "right brain". Cool!
At 5:30pm, mummy wants to test me more! I pick up the correct words again --- "tongue, eating, car, bear".
Mummy flashed these 2 words for me to pick :-
1. tongue, smile
2. bottle, eating
3. juice, car
4. bear, taxi
I pick all correct! Mummy praised me and i smiled happily too! "phew!"
Aiyo....mummy not done yet. Still want to test me. At 9:30pm, i tested correctly the words on "clapping, water". Mummy shows these 2 different cards :-
5. chair, clapping 6. water, keys.
And mummy alternate the words on left and right hands so that i will not constantly pick the same card on the same hand to test if i really know the word. Mummy notice me looking at both words before deciding which is the one.
"Hence, mummy....i do really know the word, ok? Don't play play ah"

Affirmative word "Ball"

Late afternoon about 4:30pm, mummy bring me to my usual favourite place, IKEA to play as daddy is tired looking after me in the morning. Crawl and cruise around in the "rocking chair" area. Now i like to push anything to walk for support. I can "walk" faster now. Hopefully in no time, i can walk without aid. I played with a soft ball and said it "ball" - a affirmative word since i have said it a few times already. I like ball. Dady brought me few times to the open park uphill @Jln Rumah Tinggi and saw some boys played basketball and i said "ball! ball!" enthusiastically.

I can say "cat"!

While mummy put me on the floor to crawl freely, i curiously crawl towards our cat, Rascal, pet him and said it loudly "Cat!". Mummy turn back n look happy while washing my milk bottle in the kitchen and surprised i can said it clearly, as before i just mumble. I learn a new word today.

I have a good 3 hrs afternoon nap after play @IKEA with sis Xin Yi and auntie Julia in the morning at about 10:15am till 11:15am. Late afternoon about 4:15pm after my milk feed, mummy brought me to Takashimaya as it becomes mummy's favourite shopping place as got good nursing room with hot/cold water and have dinner with daddy after his work. I wore Aunty Geraldine bought me "Fox" jumper suit (as shown above) for my 1st year birthday gift. Thanks aunty Geraldine! It is nice and sexy....mummy said. "hee! hee"!
