growth record / bonding with mum

Aunt Christie commented I've grown much taller when we met yesterday and also mum noticed I'm getting taller now as compare to some other kids of my age except my buddy, sis kana :)

Height record : 91-92 cm (12 Dec 09) , 89cm (14 Oct), 87cm (mid Sep).
Weight : 13.4 kg (bought a digital weighing scale today).

Hence, mum was surprised I've grown so fast within few months. She said I'm getting heavier too and couldn't carry me for long :( so is dad! ha! ha!

Bonding time with mummy

1) I like to hold mummy's hand and run together but not with daddy :(. This "exercise" exhaust her much as I'm running faster & faster.

2) I like mummy to swing me or rather circling me while I feel myself spinning thru the air! I knew daddy wouldn't do it for me as he said is a dangerous stunt.

I kept feeding "milk" to the cat and mum was amused with my action.

scooter n tricycle

Hey! I'm scooting & cycling! Ha! just for show :) Mum brought me to the playground this morning and met aunt christie with her elder son & baby sis whom we've met few times. She allowed me try on the scooter and I managed to scoot with a few push. And for this cutie tricycle --- belongs to the girl on the slide behind me on 3rd picture. Her grandfather was nice too to let me try even though we are stranger to each other as this is the 1st time we met.

DIY necklace

When I woke up this morning and saw mummy's self-made necklace made for me yesterday and I insisted mum to dissemble it all. I lace it together all by myself and wanted to put it on. Mummy tied a knot and put it on my neck with self-satisfaction.

And not enough, I went to mummy's room and asked for more beads to lace. Mummy likes the engrossed look on my face with an attitude of determination to do it right.

switched to lace on thin thread. My 2nd attempt within an hour :)

Initially I dislike lacing but I started to have interest when mum bought a lacing apple with worm two weeks ago at only $2 - brand new!!! (a great bargain mum can't ask for more :) and I love it at first sight. Mum lured me and said the worm is hungry and wants to eat the apple. I thread the green worm in and out through multiple holes and without knowing it, I am actually practise lacing. I have fun playing and kept laughing at it. For now, I seems to like the plain round beads than other type of fancy beads.

My 3rd attempt after my noon nap. Getting more & more hands-on with the beads. I laced it all but only 1 green bead didn't manage to do it myself as mum challenge me to lace the smallest beads with the small hole. Can you guess which 1 is it?

self-feed

Mum figured it out now why I refused to self-feed after our holiday trip. It is because I want to eat from real porcelain bowl and not the plastic type. I like to hear the "cling cling" sound that came from the bowl. But mum has to tempt me to eat faster so that I can play with the figurine animals as I kept asking for it. Mum was satisfied I can finished my meals within 15 mins or so on my lunch & dinner today.

Mum hope I can feed myself on long term basis & not just for a moment of fun.

agility / act of love

Climbing up the pillar @Ikea is like a piece of cake to me now since I practise it often. Mum realised and observed I'm the only kid to climb up this "8" shape pillar as I treat it as a slide.

Mum is touched

I saw strains of mummy's hair covered her eyes as the fan was blowing directly on her while feeding me during lunch, I gently brushed her hair aside and mum is so touched with my little act of love :)

I am smart now ;)...know where lollipop is (located at the cashier) at the Giant supermarket and quickly ran to it and asked mum to buy for me :)


On a little note of my "strong or stubborn" character :-

date : 4 Dec (fri) , noon time

Mum put aside a dress on the bed for me to wear to school and I saw buttons on it. I kept insisted to do the buttoning . I tried and tried and I fussed I can't button it. Finally I did with mum's help w/o my knowledge as she held the button beneath as my lil fingers are too small to hold it tight. I was satisfied with my "accomplishment", clapped and said "good job".

Mum is happy in a way that I am inquisite to try anything that curious me and this helps me to grow up "faster" and more independence. But on the other hand...mum is "mad at me" that I will try anything that adults do but not toilet-trained! And I can drink from adult's cup pretty well w/o spillage but when mum asked me to drink milk directly from cup.....I refused :(
